คอร์ส Functional Training and Corrective Exercise  


 

This course has been designed for fitness instructors who wish to add new tools to their personal training repertoire, especially with clients who wish to improve their posture and their performance in sport or in activities of daily living.

 

Course Objectives:

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

 

·         Conduct postural assessments identifying compensated posture

·         Distinguish correctible from non-correctible posture

·         Develop and implement restorative exercise programs to restore good posture  

·         Explain the benefits of functional training for activities of daily life and sports specific performance improvement

·         Prescribe a variety of exercises using a variety of techniques that progress clients from isolated, single joint muscle exercises to multiple joint, multiple plane movement training

·         Correctly and safely train and spot clients using these techniques

 

Course Content:

·         Definition, benefits and characteristics of  postural assessment & functional training

·         Basic postural assessments and movement screen

·         Performance continuum - from traditional to functional
